What to Expect When You Contact Us.
If this is the first time you are contacting us, or if you have
never seen a therapist before, please do not hesitate to call our
main number at (212) 599-5858. Alternately, we invite you to contact us by filling out the form below with your information, which we will keep strictly private.
During a complimentary initial phone consultation, we will take
the time to talk with you briefly to better understand the nature
of the difficulties for which you seek treatment. At that time,
we can answer any questions you may have and decide which therapist
would be most appropriate to suit your needs. If you then decide
to proceed, we will try to schedule an appointment as quickly as
possible. Each of us maintains flexible hours and schedules.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment. At your first meeting, you will be asked to complete some questionnaires or assessment tools in order for us to better help you. You and your therapist will discuss your goals for therapy and will develop a plan for addressing your concerns. Although cognitive therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy interventions are the primary techniques we will use to help you make changes in your life, we will work with you in a flexible and comprehensive manner to best meet your needs.
